Ozark, Mo. -- Ozark Police urge residents to be more vigilant about locking vehicle doors after increased number vehicle thefts in the past several months. In each instance, the cars were unlocked and keys were left in the vehicle.
"We have experienced numerous vehicle break-ins recently,'' Chief Tim Clothier said.”In all cases of vehicles being entered, which resulted in thefts, the doors were unlocked. The recent thefts have occurred overnight."
The Ozark Police Department reminds residents to take valuables out of their vehicle for the night, such as cash, purses, wallets and electronics. Outside lights on and motion lights should also be on and notify the police if it appears your vehicle was entered or you observe anything suspicious in your neighborhood.
