OTO survey for Public Participation Plan

The Ozarks Transportation Organization (OTO) would like to announce the availability of an interested party survey related to the update of our Public Participation Plan. As the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Springfield metro area, the OTO is required to maintain a Public Participation Plan. The survey will help identify the most effective ways to reach out to users of transportation system, transportation providers, freight shippers, and all other interested parties to garner input at key decision points in the transportation planning process. This data will be used to identify strategies for enhancing community engagement.

Public input is the cornerstone of our operations. All individuals and organizations with an interest in transportation are encouraged to take the survey, especially members of under-represented groups including individuals with disabilities, lower income persons, and minority populations.

The survey will be available until April 10, 2017. Information regarding this survey has been, and will be, distributed to a wide range of individuals and groups. The survey is available online at:

Please contact Dave Faucett at dfaucett@ozarkstransportation.org  or (417) 865-3047 x104 if you have any questions or wish to obtain a paper copy of the user survey. Again, this survey will be available until April 10, 2017.
