The Planning and Development department administers the subdivision regulations, zoning
regulations, growth management plan, and directs the development and plan review process.
In addition, the department oversees code compliance, and building inspections.
Planning and Development consists of eleven full-time employees. Staff includes: the Planning
and Development Director, Code Compliance Officer, Building Official, three Building
Inspectors, Engineering Technician, and three Planning and Zoning Technicians.
The Planning and Development Director supervises the day-to-day activities of the department
and reports to the City Administrator. The Department serves as the primary support staff
for the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Adjustment.
The Planning and Development office is open 8a.m.-5p.m., Mon-Fri in Ozark City Hall and can be
