Responsibilities
The Finance Department serves the citizens by providing internal support, administration, management, and external customer service for all financially related issues.

Through the direction and coordination of financial planning, budgeting, and cash and debt management with purchasing, accounting, and utility customer services, the finance staff provides effective and efficient financial reporting. The department oversees compliance with federal, state, and local statutes, regulations, and codes to ensure the city’s accountability and prudent use of public funds.

In order to meet these requirements, the department maintains internal procedures for the efficient management of assets, investments, collection of revenues, timely vendor payments, procurement, and utility billing services.
