Ozark, Mo - The City of Ozark Public Works is in the final phase of the Oak St. and West Downtown Project, which involves the resurfacing of streets and the demolition of some streets for curb and gutter construction.
Starting on Wednesday, Aug. 30, crews will begin resurfacing work on Robertson and 6th streets, moving towards 4th Street, and gradually progressing throughout the neighborhood. All construction will stay within the city’s right-of-way.
During this phase, residents may notice that the guide stake markings are intentionally placed off the pavement edge, approximately 4 ft away. We kindly request that residents refrain from removing these guide stakes and drive around them with caution. Everyone's cooperation is greatly appreciated. (Click the image to enlarge.)
Demolition will take place on select streets for new curb and gutter to be constructed to help properly manage the stormwater.
Please be aware that there may be temporary road closures within the project area as crews complete the remaining tasks and conduct necessary clean-up. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and assure you that we will do our best to minimize disruption to your daily routine.
It’s important to note that this final phase of the project involves various moving parts. As a result, residents may see different crews working on different portions of the project on their street. Rest assured that each crew is well-trained and committed to delivering high-quality work.
While the goal is to improve the infrastructure of the streets, this project will preserve the unique character and charm of this established neighborhood. We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this project. We are close to the finish line!
