Where did the summer go?
It just seems like we were in the month of June, and now it is September. I must admit that August has been a busy BUT good month for the city, beginning with the groundbreaking on August 14 for the CoxHealth Rehabilitation Hospital. Then, on Tuesday morning, August 20, the Parks Department held a ribbon cutting for reopening the ten-acre forest, Garrison Springs. Finally, on August 22, the Ozark School District held a ribbon cutting for the Ozark High School Activity Center and Storm Shelter.
In September, I am excited to see the 2024 Showcase Ozark Community Expo returning after a five-year hiatus at the Ozark Innovation Center from 9 am - 3 pm.

Then mark your calendar for the Sertoma Octoberfest on September 14 from 12 - 10 pm on Ozark Square. Do not forget to visit the Ozark Farmer’s Market at Finley Farm every Thursday in September from 3 pm - 7 pm. Finally, September 28 will be the last Downtown Ozark Market Days from 8 am - 4 pm on the Ozark Square. These events coming up in September are a significant part of what makes Ozark a great city for its citizens. I hope to see you at one or all of these events in September.
