Ozark, Mo. - As spring blossoms in our beautiful city, I'm excited to share updates on key projects and developments that are shaping Ozark's future.
Ozark Marketplace Development
A significant development is on the horizon with the proposed Ozark Marketplace. This 40-acre project, located near the intersection of 20th and South Street—across from the Ozark Walmart— includes potential plans for up to 13 new commercial businesses in our community. The possible tenants include ALDI, McDonald's, Plaza Tire Service, Casey's, and Dutch Bros Coffee, which would be the first of this franchise to open in our area. The Ozark Marketplace development is anticipated to create between 250 to 400 jobs, bolstering our local economy.
Chadwick Flyer Trail
It's exciting to see the progress on the Chadwick Flyer Trail. Trees have been cleared, and work is underway to prepare for the pedestrian bridge to take shape over Highway 65 this summer. Crews will be busy near the Tracker Marine trail section as well as the high school. The goal is to meet in the middle near Highway 65 and the bridge. We're working on a way to let you see the work happening in real time! This much-anticipated project is scheduled to be completed by next spring. Hold onto your hat, we'll soon be on a path to unplug from the daily grind and reconnect to the outdoors.
Housing Developments
The first phase of Valley Ridge, south of Walmart, is complete, with roughly 30 of the planned 144 homes constructed. The midtown Finley Crossing development currently has five homes under construction.
It's great seeing these visions come to life in Ozark. In closing, I hope you enjoy the beautiful weather
Sincerely,
Mayor Don Currence
