Fats, Oils, Grease

The City of Ozark has implemented a Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) Management Program to help prevent blockages, backups, environmental hazards, and sanitary sewer overflow. The city maintains 161 miles of sanitary sewer lines, and this program is the first line of defense for the city sewer system and protects businesses. Keep Ozark Flowing (FOG) (1)When fats, oils, and grease are washed down the drain, they cool and solidify inside sewer pipes. Over time, they form massive blockages, leading to costly backups, equipment failures, and potential environmental hazards.
