Ozark, Mo. - The City of Ozark is pleased to announce Randall Whitman has been appointed as the new community development director.
For the past 19 years, Whitman has worked for the City of Springfield as a principal planner in the Planning and Development Department. He coordinated the development of Springfield's annual capital improvements program, neighborhood conservation and planning activities, and comprehensive planning efforts, including the development and implementation of the city's comprehensive plan, Forward SGF.
"We are thrilled to welcome Randall Whitman as our new community development director," said City Administrator Eric Johnson. "Randall brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record from his time with the City of Springfield. His expertise and vision will be invaluable as we continue fostering community growth and development. We look forward to the positive impact he will have on Ozark."
Whitman moves into the position following Cameron Smith's promotion from community development director to assistant city administrator.
Whitman began his duties as community development director on January 21, 2025.
