City Offices and The OC to Close Early Due to Inclement Weather

Winter Weather Alert

Ozark, Mo. - Due to the impending winter storm, the City of Ozark offices and the Ozark Community Center will close early on Tuesday, February 18, at noon. The indoor pool at the Community Center will close slightly earlier at 11 am. All fitness classes, KidZone hours, and other scheduled programs for the day are canceled.

Our dedicated city crews will be working hard to keep our roads safe and accessible, but we encourage residents to stay home if possible. Please monitor local weather reports and plan accordingly. If you need to conduct any city business and can do so over the phone, please call us at 417-581-2407.

For questions about snow removal, please refer to the city’s Snow Removal Policy. If your question isn’t answered by the policy, reach out to the Public Works Department at 417-581-1702.

Please note, that the city does not maintain some major roads in Ozark. Roads like W Jackson/Highway 14, S. 3rd St, and W South St are MoDOT, while other major streets may fall under the Ozark Special Road District. You can find out who maintains your road by viewing the Street Ownership Map. The city also has a Cooperative Snow Removal Agreement in place.

As a reminder, please avoid parking on the road, if possible. Vehicles left on the street can obstruct snowplows and prevent them from clearing your road effectively.

Stay safe and warm, Ozark!
