Good Neighbor Week Returns: September 28 – October 4

Good Neighbor Week

Ozark, Mo. - For the second year in a row, the City of Ozark is proud to celebrate Good Neighbor Week, taking place from September 28 through October 4. This week is dedicated to strengthening community ties and encouraging residents to be kind, thoughtful, and supportive of one another.

Being a good neighbor can be as simple as helping someone mow their lawn, assisting with groceries, bringing over dinner, or just taking the time to wave or have a conversation. Every small act of kindness can make a big impact, and we invite everyone in the community to take part.

As part of the celebration, the City has created special coloring pages for children. These can be picked up at City Hall or printed at home using the link below. Once completed, families are encouraged to scan or take a photo of the artwork and email it to info@ozarkmissouri.org. Submissions may be featured on the City’s social media pages or displayed inside City Hall. Children are also welcome to give their finished artwork to a neighbor as a kind gesture or drop it off at City Hall for display. Please be sure to include the child’s name and age when submitting.

In addition to these activities, the City is asking residents to nominate individuals who embody the spirit of a good neighbor. If you know someone who goes above and beyond to support others in your neighborhood, you can nominate them using the form linked below.

This annual event began in September 2024, when Mayor Don Currence signed a proclamation officially recognizing Missouri Good Neighbor Week in the City of Ozark. Since then, it has become a time for the community to come together and celebrate the everyday acts of kindness that make Ozark such a special place to live.

Let’s continue building a stronger, more connected community — one good neighbor at a time.
